A Note to our Donors:
Thank you for your generosity to In Our Backyard in 2024. Our organization is in the process of changing our status from a 501(c)(3) Private Non-Operating Foundation to a 501(c)(3) Public Charity, which means that donations will be deductible up to 50% of a donor’s adjusted gross income; however, this change will not take effect until after the 2024 Tax Year. Based on our current status, donations are only deductible up to 30%. Additional rules may apply to Donor Advised Funds, Private Foundations, or Qualified Charitable Deductions, so please check with your financial or tax advisor for further information. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

Here’s what your donation can do:
Utility Costs
Pay for 5 months of electricity for a bath / shower facility.
Outfit a Shelter
Pay to outfit a single dwelling unit with bedding and basic furnishings.
Laundry Service
Pay for laundry service for one year.
Housing Appliances
Buy a set of basic housing appliances for a single unit (mini-fridge, microwave, etc.)
Waste Services
Provide 2 months of solid waste services.
Meal Delivery
Provide 1 week of meal deliveries (Bean’s Cafe donates the meals, IOB covers packaging).
